J. Quigley / Trade / (Bottle filling machine) / Mark / Lismore // "Pinnacle". Smooth base. Aerated Water Codd Applied top. Traditional codd style patent with one way pour. Aqua. 7 oz. 199 mm. 1890s
Very Good. Very shallow nibbled flake to lower part of applied lip where it meets the bottle over about 7 mm. A couple of other little knock marks on this lower edge of the applid lip. A bit scuffy around the shoulder, down the right side and around the base. There are some scuffs and scratches elsewhere. Fisheyes scattered around, largest is at the end of the rear neck crimp which is only about 3 x 3 mm and very fine, so hard to see the majority of it. Embossing is quite heavy and clear. A little bit of wear where the marble contacts the inner chamber. A great bottle, these are very rare, with the fabulous pictorial, one of the better pictorial codds for the discerning collector. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $750 - 1000
