W. G. Bennett / S. Aus. / Magill Pottery. Household Footwarmer Green top, off white body with wooden stopper. 247 mm. 1920s
Near Mint. Great example of this early South Australian footwarmer. 10 x 3 mm flake next to a 3 x 2 mm flake on base edge, that looks to have been a pottery pull from manufacture. A couple of smaller ones on the opposite base edge as well. A little bit of surface grime to the green section. A few glaze scratches to the rear where it would rest on the table. Crudely made with lumps, bumps, the odd kiln kiss, etc which really add to the character of this lovely piece. Grade: 9.3 Estimate: $100 - 150
