S. M. / H. in a circle. No makers stamp. (Attributed to Summons & Mara, Helensburgh, NSW). Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump shape. Tan top. Black print. 10 oz. 168 mm. 1900s
Good. Lip has glaze wear around its whole circumference and a 12 mm long wide horseshoe hairline right on the top front, a little glaze flake to the inner rear. A little scuffy and worn on the shoulder and body. Around the base are a series of hairlines, most are very tight but a couple are open slightly at the base edge. The main one at the front covers about 70 mm but also joins up with the others under the base. The upper parts of these hairlines should clean up pretty well with a good soak, so an OK example of quite a scarce NSW ginger beer. Grade: 6.3 Estimate: $80 - 120
