Franklin & Co / Ginger / Beer / Balaclava. Potters stamp: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo. Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Two tone, tan top with black print. 13 oz. 210 mm. 1910s
Good. Around 30 mm of the upper lip has had some flaking touched up, this does not come down the side of the lip. 20 mm glaze hairline to right rear lip. Similar line to front left lip. Very fine hairline from lip on right down about 80 mm, another even finer one comes from this down to the base over 130 mm, this is difficult to even see. In fact, close inspection actually reveals similar lines spreading across and up and down the bottle in several directions all the way around. Very hard to see. Small flake to rear base, probably from manufacture. 16 x 7 mm repaired chip to left side base which is very well disguised. Discoloured glaze with black flecks throughout. Grade: 6.5 Estimate: $30 - 40
