John Cook / (Horse) / Bundaberg. Base mark: BGW. Aerated Water Lamont Applied top. Aqua. 7 oz. 187 mm. 1890s
Very Good. Heavy wear to front left lip, like a pitted type scratch to the lip edge. The inner lip has a small nick in this same area. Under the front lip is a shallow flake over only 4 mm, another to the rear is a tad deeper, but still only 4 mm. Bottle is oiled internally. 5 x 3 mm nibbled flake under the base, with a few other small impact marks around the circumference of the base. Scuffs and scratches throughout, heaviest around the shoulder area. Also some fisheyes and small impact marks to be found. There are a few deeper scratches to be found, including a scuff mark to the front of the horse. Bottle is dull throughout. This should polish up quite well to leave a very nice pictorial Queensland lamont. Grade: 7 Estimate: $200 - 250
