Excellent. Short, fine glaze hairline coming just onto the face at about 12 o'clock. There is another at about 4 o'clock, this one comes from a small glaze flake on the face at the end of the bottom scroll. The rim edge at about 5 o'clock has a small glaze flake, 2 x 1 mm. Some very fine crazing to the face which is associated with a slightly uneven surface form the manufacturing process. The bottom of the flange where it meets the base has a series of tiny nibbles, there is nothing major at all. A lovely lid, in lovely condition, this does not come with a base! This lid is from Williamstown, Victoria, the trade mark being registered by Charles Nicholas Morris (hence the CNM in the scroll) on 23rd February, 1894. Grade: 8 Estimate: $200 - 300
