Very Good. Edge of rim between 1 and 2 o'clock has a 5 x 3 mm chip and an associated 20 mm horseshoe fracture that reaches on to the front of the lid just short of the print. Fine crazing throughout and slightly discoloured at the top of the lid. Bottom of flange where lid meets the pot has 7 or 8 shallow chips and flakes of various sizes. Largest couple spread over 15 x 5 mm each, another is 10 x 5 mm and then progressively smaller. There are a couple of very fine short fractures or hairlines around the flange as well. Extremely rare Melbourne pot lid, particularly in this extra large size. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $1250 - 1500
