Collins's / Disinfecting / Powder / Cholera & Fever / Prevented / Offensive Smells / Destroyed. Poison Phenyle/Disinfectant Roll lip, wide mouth, all white, impressed. 26 oz. 197 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Small horseshoe flake to front shoulder, there is a hairline traveling across this a total of 45 mm. Another hairline to the right of this from the lip goes down about 50 mm. The lip is unglazed to the upper part, this is the way it was made. Two small pottery blowouts to the right up near the shoulder. Flake chip to left side base, 10 x 10 mm but quite shallow. General light wear to the glaze throughout and few scratches to be found. Crudely made piece, there are lumps and bumps with some glaze misses. This is a very early piece, they were importing goods into Australia in the early 1850s, this would date to that period. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $75 - 100
