Set of 3 piano sconces in amber glass. Musical Piano Sconce Amber glass piano sconces, ornate design. . 1930s
Very Good. Piano sconces were placed under the legs of pianos, they come in a range of shapes and colours, but all effectively served the same purpose, to protect the floor and to look pretty at the same time. These are quite collectable in their own right. The three here are a matching set for one piano, one is a slightly lighter colour than the other two. The lighter one has a few small flakes to the upper edges, The lower edge that sits in the floor has some bigger flakes and chips. One of the darker sconces has a couple of shallow flakes to the upper edge, the bottom edge has a couple of deeper chips, the side edge near the base has a deep 20 x 10 mm chip. The third example has no damage to the upper edge at all, there is a shallow slither chip to the side on one ridge, under the base there is a very large chip, about 60 x 10 mm, all of which is on the inner edge, so not seen when the item is sitting on the floor. There are other nibbles and flakes around the remainder of the base. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 50
