Chinese Ink Bottle, Characters under base. Household Ink Brown glaze. 4 oz. 96 mm.. 1850s
Very Good. 4 x 3 mm very shallow flake to upper lip. Close inspection reveals a repair to the left side of the pouring spout, 12 x 20 mm. This blends in well, we did not immediately notice this repair. 15 x 3 mm nibbled flake to base edge. Some rust spots. Quite a solid example that looks great as it is. This is a smaller version of Lot 246 in Auction 8. Grade: 7 Estimate: $30 - 40
