Hourglass type Goldfields salad oil. Pontil to base. Goldfields Salad Oil Round base, ovals on a kind of square section, 8 curved panels, large ring at shoulder, up to two rings around lower neck. Applied top. Aqua. 4 oz approximately. 144 mm. 1850s-1860s
Very Good. Lovely little goldfields bottle and very scarce. Is hazy inside. Only minor scuffs and scratches to the outside. Remnants of a pontil underneath in the form of some minor roughness near the inner base edge. Tiny nibbled spot on base where it sits on the table, this appears to be a tiny burst bubble. Great bottle. Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $250 - 300
