R. Dear / Trade (Star of David with RD monogram) Mark / Tumut. No base mark. Aerated Water Codd Applied top, four way pour Dobson style patent. Aqua. 13 oz. 235 mm. 1910s
Excellent. Upper lip on the right has a couple of tiny nibbles, possibly a tiny fracture on the surface between these? A couple of patches of very light haze internally. Light scuff marks to be found, mainly around the rear shoulder. Couple of small flakes to the embossing on the trade mark, there is also a tiny flake to the body at the left rear, and another tiny one to the seam on the right. Minor wear to the base with a couple of nibbles which are very minor. A wonderful and rare bottle in superb show condition, you can still see all the fine lines from the mould running down this beauty. Final inspection reveals evidence where some letters have been peened out of the mould prior to manufacture, looks like there was an & under Tumut, then on another line another town name, maybe Adelong? Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $500 - 750
