J. J. Trait / Trade (J. J. / T. in geometric design) Mark / Registered / Geelong // M.G.B.Co. Base: T. Aerated Water Codd Four way or Dobson type. Spun on top. Clear glass (has a pale yellowish tint but still a slight look that it may go amethyst). 13 oz. 236 mm. 1900s-1910s
Excellent. There are actually a handful of light dull spots but some of these are just grime that will come off with a better scrub. Embossing is almost perfect with a little flake on the N of Geelong. There are two really fine little fisheye type bruises on the surface at the back - one between the dimples that is 4 x 2 mm and the other near the makers mark at the base (3 x 3 mm). A few other tiny fisheyes can be found. The odd light scuff and surface scratch as well. There is a shallow surface bubble between the front dimples. This is an absolutely stunning looking codd bottle and quite scarce in this size. Grade: 8.8 Estimate: $150 - 200
