Crown to shoulder. Highly detailed arches and patterns. Registration diamond to base dated 14th February 1853 registered to John Cliff Quince, London. Half size Batty's Salad Oil. Goldfields Salad Oil Tall cylinder. One raised arched panel, five indented panels. Clover leaf type patterns at shoulder, petalled neck with Crown on one petal. Double collar applied top. 13 oz. 277 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Polished. Most detail still intact. Lovely example. Surface shows remains of some etching. Small 3 x 2 mm fracture to the surface only at the right near the base. Brilliant, strongly embossed diamond to base. Stunning Goldfields oil and very rare in this size. Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $600 - 800
