Shield Pickle. No base mark. Goldfields Pickle Applied top, ring in neck, eight vertical neck panels flaring out, turning into a square shape. Three of the four panels have an embossed shield around them, the fourth panel remains blank. Aqua. Pint. 214 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Acid dipped. Looks shiny with great detail. Left rear corner has a tiny 2 mm surface fracture. Tiny impact mark to shouder. There is evidence of fine scratches which are smoothed over from he acid treatment, most evident under the base. A great example of a rare pickle bottle. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $200 - 300
