Lot 19: Rowley Terang Codd Marble Bottle

Good. Quite a rare Victorian marble bottle. The top has chipping around three quarters of its circumference. On the front right is a section of about 25 mm which is 3.5 mm wide at its worst and not quite 1 mm deep. At the back of this, almost above the seam line is a fine fracture around 3 mm deep. On the back left of the lip is a shallower section of chips also with a fine internal fracture about 3 mm deep. Surface of the bottle has some scuffs and scratches with a handful of small impact marks at the rear base. Three open air bubbles on the back shoulder from manufacture. Light haze internally but looks like it needs a better wash. Solid example. Grade: 6.5 Estimate: $200 - 300
