No embossing. Roman glass carafe. Antiquities Roman Carafe Bulbous base with long neck and flared top. Pale green. Approximately 5 oz. 150 mm. 3rd Century AD
Very Good. Beautiful piece of Roman glass. Surface has some fine iridescence and heavy marks and scratches. These are not deep, but do cover most of the external surface. Inside is dirty. There is a 30 mm line of bubbles / fold in the glass / fracture on the lower body - we assume this is from manufacture but could be a later fault? Beautiful piece of early glass. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $400 - 600
