W. G. Henfrey's / Double Aerated // Soda Water / Sydney. No makers marks. Aerated Water Torpedo Applied small square collar type lip. Aqua. 10 oz. 230 mm. 1850s-1860s
Very Good. Nice early Sydney torpedo. There is a 14 x 3 mm shallow chip off the top and inside of the lip and a 5 x 4 mm bruise opposite this. On the underside of the applied lip is a 14 x 3 x 1 mm chip and an 11 x 3 x 1 mm chip. Rest of the underside of the lip has small nibbles and marks. Internally the bottle has some milky stain and outside it is dull in patches. Glass is nice and crude with mould marks throughout. There are some light scratches and scuffs and tiny impact marks scattered about. Nice early torpedo that will clean up really well with a tumble clean. Grade: 7.05 Estimate: $150 - 200
