Lincoln & Co Limited / Trade Mark / (Stockman and horse) / Registered // Narrandera / Hay . Hillston / Jerilderie. Base Mark: S. Aerated Water Crown Seal Applied top, tooled finish. Deep amethyst. 13 oz. 227 mm. 1910s-1920s
Very Good. Three or four tiny fleabites to the lip area on the upper lip and under the rolled part of the lip. The right hand seam near the base has a fault in the way of an inclusion / burst bubble, 4 x 2 mm. On the rear there is a manufacturing type thin deep scratch where glass has pulled from the mould, this is over about 40 mm, but the upper half is barely noticeable, the lower part is the form of two small flakes, one with a small fisheye above it. A similar mark on the other side, this is a 12 x 2 mm shallow chip, again from manufacture when the glass has pulled from the mould. A crude bubble under the base at the surface, this is not damage in any way. A small impact mark under the base. The lettering has some minor flaking and high point wear, predominantly to the upper lettering. A light band of wear around the shoulder, a few other light scuffs and scratches to be found. Internally there is some haze. This is a superb looking bottle in this deep, sun coloured ametheyst colour. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $50 - 75
