1872 // Dr Soule // Hop // Bitters // (Hop leaves and berries). Base: R. Spirits Bitters Semi-cabin shape with indented panels to sides and shoulders. Applied double collar top. Amber. 20 oz. 238 mm. 1880s-1890s
Excellent. This is simply a superb example of Dr Soules bitters. Thousands of bubbles through the glass, there are bubbles on top of bubbles in this beauty. Some of which have surfaced during manufacture but other than a very shallow discoloured one at the end of the word Bitters none that really detract. There are some scratches on the surface of the glass. Beautiful grades of colour through the bottle from a deep red-amber near the base through lighter tones and then quite a dark top. Embossing is really strong for one of these. Shallow scratch to front left lip. Some internal dirt which will wash out. All in all one of the best Dr Soules you will see. Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $50 - 80
