Pratt jar known as "The Chalees Saloon". Base Mark: No 3 (backwards). Prattware Jar Multicoloured prattware jar featuring highly detailed scene of The Chalees Saloon. 94 mm. 1860s
Very Good. Disoloured with crazing on the inner neck. Outer neck is crazed and slightly discoloured, but not to the extent of the inner. Outer lip has a small glaze flake and a couple of other minor nibbles. Inner rim has some minor wear. Some light scratches to the surface around the body, just standard usage type marks. Under the base is a chip, 20 x 8 mm, which does slightly encroach on the side but stops just short of the print. There is another spot on the base where a horseshoe hairline runs around the bottom rim, over about 20 mm, with only a tiny associated flake under the base. A great looking example of a nice pratt jar in good, solid condition. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $150 - 250
