Cherry Tooth Paste / For / Preserving / and / Beautifying / the / Teeth / D. Judson & Son. London. (Picture of a boat on a lake, cherries and leaves). Pot lid Tooth Paste Round lid. Black and white. 66 mm diameter. 66 mm diameter. 1890s
Excellent. There is a bit of smudging and missed parts on the print, largely through the middle but also on the words Cherry, Paste and London. There is some crazing on the face including a couple of discoloured spots. A little impact, flake and 6 mm hairline to the edge of the rim opposite the TE of Paste. To the bottom of the flange is a 7 x 4 x 1 mm chip. There is crazing on the flange and underneath the lid and some light stain including a spot of rust. Comes with a base that has a couple of chips and some crazing, stain and hairlines, probably not the original base but fits well and looks good on display. Grading for lid only. Lovely and unusual lid. Grade: 8.15 Estimate: $150 - 200
