McIntyre Lincoln & Co / Trade Mark / (Stockman on horse) / Registered // Narrandera / Hay / Jerilderie / Around Base: Cannington Shaw & Co Ld // Makers St Helens Engd. Base Mark: M. Aerated Water Codd Applied top. Niagara Style with four tear drop lugs. Aqua. 13 oz. 238 mm. 1890s-1900s
Very Good. Very fine 7 x 1 mm exceptionally shallow flake with a tiny fracture to rear upper lip. A couple of other tiny nibbles, scuffs and scratches to lip. Some minor flaking under the applied lip as well. Looks like it has been used extensively, as there are knock marks and wear internally where the marble has been rolling around. The body and neck has surface fisheyes, scuffs and scratches throughout. At the rear base is an impact mark/chip with some small fractures over 10 x 7 mm. Wear around base as well. This is a well embossed, early example, the embossing has only minor wear and the bottle itself is considerably better than average condition. This earlier English made version without Hillston is a bit harder to get as well. Grade: 7.55 Estimate: $75 - 100
