Foy's / Supreme / Table Water / Melbourne. Base Mark: M. Aerated Water Codd Applied top, dobson style four way pour with four dimples. Aqua. 13 oz. 237 mm. 1890s-1900s
Very Good. Has been oiled internally, appears to have only had a light inner haze. Under the right side base on the seam line is a chip where the bottle was hit with a fork, 15 x 15 mm, this is a flake chip which is reasonably shallow. Alongside this is a smaller 7 x 5 mm chip under the base which is a tad deeper. There are a few fork prong scratches under the base leading towards these chips. There is some crate type wear around the shoulder, in the form of scuffs and scratches with the odd fisheye. Some scuffs and scratches around the body, with fisheyes to be found, these are all quite light. A discoloured bubble on the rear near the base is 5 x 2 mm. The embossing is great with only minor marks to some of the letters. This is the ONLY example known of this marble bottle, and coupled with the great script writing this is a must for any codd collector! Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $1000 - 1250
