Mason's / (CFJCo monogram) / Patent / Nov 30th / 1858. No base mark. Household Fruit Jar Ground lip, threaded neck wide mouth fruit jar. 2 inch top. Aqua. Pint. 136 mm. 1900s
Very Good. Visually grades as Near Mint, however, there is a fracture to the rear threaded part over 24 x 10 mm. Standard nibbles and flakes around the ground part of the upper lip, there is a flake chip to the front right side which is 7 x 5 mm. An internal flake at the rear where the fracture is covers about 15 x 6 mm, but is very shallow and hard to see. Another internal flake on the right side covers 6 x 4 mm but again is very shallow. The rest of the jar is in superb condition with only light scuffs and scratches, with the jar displaying perfectly. Very rare Australian made variety of this "Midget" Mason's jar. Grade: 7.45 Estimate: $300 - 400
