Colleen Bawn (British Registration Diamond for 12th October 1883, William Barke & Son, London). Base embossing: 6702. It appears that Colleen Bawn in the sense of a drink was/is a cocktail of Whiskey, Benedictine, Chartreuse & Egg. Possible that this bottle was an early mixed drink or base for this cocktail. Spirits Whisky Unusual seven-sided lower section before more typical shoulder and neck and applied double collar top. Bright Emerald Green. 26 oz. 299 mm. 1883-1890s
Excellent. Appears to have been acid-dipped or very lightly tumbled with some remnant scratches to be seen that however present a nice shiny surface. Some haze in the inner lip. Slightly deeper scratch down corner below Bawn, 17 mm. Another horizontal 7 mm scratch to rear panel. A few small fisheyes can be found. Well presented and unusual bottle. Great display item. Grade: 8.25 Estimate: $100 - 150
