Plain black. Base embossed: Powell / & (Central dot) Co / Bristol. Goldfields Black Glass Applied top. Dark olive green. 26 oz. 257 mm. 1840s-1850s
Very Good. Has an opalescent haze throughout which adds to the character of this early bottle. Couple of miniscule nibbles to lip. Has plenty of scuffs and scratches throughout. Under the base is a burst bubble on the heel, 7 x 3 mm. Beautiful, large crude embossing to the base. Very nice base embossed black bottle from the mid 1800s Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $10 - 20
