Base embossed three piece mould ring seal, black glass bottle. Lyon / & Sons. Dot to centre of base. Goldfields Black Glass Champagne shape. Three piece mould. Applied ring seal (wider than usual mouth). Black (Dark green). 26 oz. 264 mm. 1860s
Very Good. Glass is dull and worn all over giving a very regular matt finish. Small discoloured bubble on the lower section. A couple of flakes under the base heel. Scratch to upper neck area. Lovely strong embossing to the base. Quite an unusual shape and the opening at the top seems to have been made much wider than normal. Really nice goldfields era bottle. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $10 - 20
