Geo. Lyon / Beechworth. K in circle near point of base at back. Aerated Water Torpedo Applied blob top. Aqua. 10 oz. 230 mm. 1870s-1880s
Very Good. Polished. Inner lip has the remains of an 8 x 3 x 1 mm chip. Lip also looks like it has had some very small nibbles and flea bites around it that have been smoothed out slightly by the polishing. There are many small surface fisheyes and the like scattered over the surface, more frequent towards the lower half of the bottle. Seam lines are lightly visible in places. Internally there are some heavier scratches inside the neck and several more longer ones towards the base, mainly at the rear. Embossing has been protected and is still a bit pitted and marked to the surface but very strong. A nice example of a very rare North East Victorian torpedo. Grade: 7 Estimate: $250 - 300
