Vieux / Cognac on applied seal. Spirits Cognac Applied top, applied seal cylinder. Olive/yellow colour. 295 mm. 1870s
Very Good. The applied seal has a small chip to the upper part, 6 x 3 x about 1 mm. Some fine nibbles to the outer part of the lip which are barely noticeable due to the crude folds in the glass. There is a large rectangular slightly dull patch to the front which is clearly where a label was adhered. Near the base at the front is a small chip in the glass, possibly from manufacture, this is about 5 x 1 mm. There are a few scratches to be found. The base is uneven causing the bottle to wobble slightly. This is a nice example of this type of bottle in a beautiful colour! Grade: 7.85 Estimate: $50 - 75
