On applied neck seal: Pousse . Cafe / Rubis. Body of bottle has embossed: S. Larcher Pere & Fils Jeune / Bordeaux. No base embossing. Spirits Applied Seal Applied top, neck seal embossed bottle. 26 ounce, dark olive green. 253 mm. 1870s
Excellent. The lip has some crude folds in the glass, but there are some shallow and small flakes amongst these as well, the largest is about 5 x 4 mm but a fraction of a mm deep and barely noticeable. A small scuff mark to the neck. The seal has a surface split over about half from top to bottom, this is also from manufacture. There is some grime to the shoulder of the bottle, this will clean off. A small rear scratch, a little scuff to the left seam, some minor dirt inside. Crudely made, under the base there is a central pimple, then where it actually sits there is a series of eights pimples just as it goes up into the kick up base. This is a most unusual bottle, we have never seen a neck sealed and embossed bottle in one, don't miss this opportunity to add a great bottle to your collection. Grade: 8.7 Estimate: $300 - 400
