Group of 4 registered square mouth Doulton ink bottles. Household Ink Registered Ink Bottles with square lip. Various. 1880s
Large ink (246 mm) has a circular Doulton stamp with a 5 above it, the registration diamond has an odd making mark to the left of it. Shallow flake to the upper rear lip, rear crack from top to bottom and half way across the bottom. Medium ink (205 mm) has a larger and extremely crisp and clear impressed registration diamond. This example has the oval Doulton stamp. There is a small internal lip chip, otherwise this is fine. A great example with light glaze on body and dark glaze on neck, looks fantastic. The first small one (180 mm) has a clear registration diamond right alongside an oval Doulton stamp. This has a chip from the side lip, 12 x 8 mm and a blowout from manufacture to the main body, 9 x 5 mm. The final small one (178 mm) has a partial registration diamond and a clear oval Doulton stamp. There is a small horseshoe hairline to the upper top edge. There is a small flake under the base as well. Another highly glazed example which looks great. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 40
