Registration Diamond to base (impossible to read this one but from other sources this is registered 7th April 1862 to Crosse & Blackwell, London). Has eight large ribs down bulbous body of bottle then a little bulge in the lower neck with two rings before a long neck and hand finished lip. Goldfields Essence Goldfields era essence bottle. Excellent. Does show some dullness both inside and out and the clear colour tends to make it look more obvious. On the base there are some flakes, shallow chips and wear on the ribs where they rest when the bottle is standing. Wonderful little bottle and an unusual Crosse & Blackwell variation.
