British Registration Diamond / (Rearing Horse) on a banner surrounded by Wheat & Barley / Registered. No base mark, smooth base. Goldfields Black Applied top, skirt and collar mushroom type top. Dark olive green / black. 26 oz. 287 mm. 1855-1860s
Very Good. Has a light water staining / haze across the entire outer surface. The embossing is clear and precise. The lip is crudely formed, it has two tiny pinpricks to the outer surface. Having hundreds of bubbles, there are some that are at the surface, these are all small and shallow. This is a perfectly sound example which will polish up beautifully. This is the tall variety with outstanding crisp embossing and the early mushroom type lip. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $350 - 400
