W / (Wheat sheaf) / Sheaf / Mildura Working Man's Club // W / The Property of the. Base mark: L285 / M / A G M. "S" embossed on rear of lip. Beer Crown Seal Round, seam through lip, brown-amber, 26 oz. 296 mm. 1920s
Very good. A couple of very small and shallow flakes / nibbled areas to lip. Elongated bubble to front-left side, which is partially exposed and is quite shallow. On the right seam there is a small impact mark down towards the base. There is another small impact mark to the right-rear base area. Overall light scratching and scuff marks to be found giving the bottle a slightly dull appearance. Couple very shallow surface bubbles to rear. Some light wear to the base of the wheat sheaf with some high point wear to the lettering around the base. A superb bottle with a HUGE trade mark, extremely heavy and detailed embossing, and fantastic eye appeal. Slightly earlier type with more detail than the later base mark varieties. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $75 - 100
