Dr Baily's / Sarsaparilla. Smooth base (round indent) Spirits Sarsaparilla Square section. Crude applied lip. Ice Blue. 26 oz. 225 mm. 1870s-1880s
Excellent. Has been lightly tumble cleaned. Bottle is still full of character and in fact there are still scratches evident on all sides but the fact they are slightly smoothed gives the tumbling away. Near the side base is a little 5 x 3 mm chip that looks like a spot of glass has pulled out in the mould when the bottle was made. Potstone on the shoulder with a couple of 1 mm fractures just off the edge of it, again this is part of manufacture. Beautiful colour, lovely early Australian Sarsaparilla.
