Bailey / Fulham in two straight lines under base also large R to centre of base. Applied Thistle pattern around jug with Brandy applied slab to shoulder. British Registration Diamond to top of handle - 29th December 1880. Spirits Brandy Square section handled coaching set stoneware jug. Blue and Brown on a fancy salt glazed body. 26 oz. 197 mm. 1880-1890s
Excellent. On the right hand side the two lower leaves have chips to the bottom - one is approximately 5 x 5 mm and the other 6 x 3 mm. There are some fine manufacturing expansion marks around the base. Really almost no other marks to be seen on this one. Superb piece, same type but different drink to the Scotch Whisky one of these that appeared in ABCR Auction 1. Grade: 8.6 Estimate: $300 - 400
