Advance Australia beneath an unofficial Australian Coat of Arms. 1 impressed into base. Household Teapot Moulded ceramic teapot. Brown (Rockingham) glaze. One Pint. 140 mm. 1890s
Excellent (but there is a very small repair to pouring lip of spout). Is missing the original lid - comes with a lid to keep the dust out and a reasonable match for colour but it is not the correct style. Amazing to find one of these as complete as this. There is a very good repair to the lip of the spout - the deepest it appears to go is 3 mm and most is shallower than that, it extends around the front half of the lip. Has a 9 x 4 mm chip that is 1 mm deep on one inner edge of the top. There is some wear on the inner rim where the lid would sit. Some minor crazing to the body and the pot could use a clean as there is some dirt and grime attached. Great example of a classic Patriotic item. Grade: 8 Estimate: $400 - 500
