S. Cooperative on base (Societe Co-operative?). From base - 4 rings then a section with 6 wide flutes and a round label space. Top section of body has 4 more rings, shoulder has a spiral pattern then 2 more rings. Lower neck then features 9 fluted columns before 2 more rings and a long straight neck to an rolled over, tooled finished top. Household Salad Oil Applied lip, tooled finish. Fancy and unusual Salad Oil. Aqua with a bluish tinge. 5 oz. 245 mm. 1890s-1900s
Very Good. Has a chip to the lip that is 6 x 5 mm and a bit over 1 mm deep at its worst. There is a little bit of internal stain and the outside is lightly hazy. Nice solid example of a really unusual salad oil. Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $75 - 100
