Very Good. Main thing of note is a dull patch to the back shoulder and side and around the neck. There is some rust from the old bail which is a bit distracting but would clean off. Only a couple of the typical chips to the ground lip. The largest extends down in the inner lip about 5 mm and is 13 mm across and up to 1 mm deep. Embossing is beautifully strong and clear. Quite a scarce jar. Lid is in good shape but has 2 chips around the edge: One that is 10 x 6 mm and the other 6 x 5 mm. Also a couple of other marks to be seen on close inspection. No bail. Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $350 - 450
