Fowlers Patent / Vacola (In shield) / No 30 / Home Preserving Jar. Base mark: M 832 / M inside Owen Ring / A. G. M. Small 4 embossed near base at rear. Lid is original with four lugs on top, underneath it has Fowler's / Patent embossed in a mirror image so that it reads correctly when lid in place on the jar. Excellent. A couple of surface scratches to the rear and some smaller ones elsewhere. The top lip has some nibbles, there are some extremely shallow flakes externally and internally from the lip, the largest internal one is 10 mm x 3 mm, externally there is only one which is 3 mm x 4 mm and extremely shallow.
