W. Watkins / Trade / (Shamrock or Clover) / Mark / Boulder. Impressed: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo. (Western Australia). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Champagne. Light Green Top. Black Print. 10 oz. 215 mm. 1900s-1910s
Very Good. (7.6). Glaze flaking around the front half of the lip, couple of spots about 10 x 3 mm in size and some smaller ones. The glaze also hasn't taken particularly well and there are more small spots and bubbles plus a large 17 x 12 mm section on the back neck that is unglazed. Scratch on the front neck of about 40 mm. Body has some slight discolouration and a bit of crazing. 20 x 8 mm chip under the left base edge and a 5 x 5 mm chip at the right base edge. Also a couple of small clay pull marks underneath. Under the base is a very fine Y shaped hairline that sort of peters out towards the edges and into the crazing on the lower side of the body. Good looking ginger beer and unusual with this lighter green top.. Estimate: $200-300
