F. H. Faulding & Co / (Three Cherries and Leaves) / Tooth paste / Adelaide. (South Australia). Pot Lid. Tooth Paste. Round, domed lid. Black and white. 80 mm diameter. 1900s
Good. (6). Slightly discoloured, this looks to be from a fine coating applied when some repairs have been undertaken. Where are the repairs? Not entirely sure, but definitely not the face, all the print is original. Some of the flange has likely been repaired, but some of it is definitely original, there is a small hairline from an impact to the bottom flange. It looks like the rim may have had a chip or two repaired as well, but as stated earlier, nothing touching the print. A great repair job, this would slot perfectly into any collection. This would have had overglaze painted cherries originally. No base. Sought after item which rarely comes up for sale.. Estimate: $150-250
