Chicago / Fruit Jar. No readable base mark. With an incorrect ill fitting wide lid. (Australia). Household. Jar. Lightning type Bail closure. Ground lip. Aqua. Half Gallon 240 mm without lid. 1900s - 1910s
Very Good. (7.9). Shallow 10 x 10 mm chip to the right outer lip. Some smaller shallow flakes and chips around the lip. Bit of wear around the upper parts of the top. A little bit hazy. Scuffs and scratches. Lid is not the correct type, this would have an immerser or cut off immerser type lid. (Jar 268, "The Standard Fruit Jar Reference 2011, Dick Roller"). Estimate: $30-50
