Very Good. (N/A). The tin may have been painted in black in more recent times? Some surface corrosion. The mechanism holding the candle is spring loaded, as it burns down the spring keeps it near the top. One of the glass panels is broken clean through the middle. These panels slide out easily, so this would be easily replaceable. Not sure on the age of this item, possibly mid to late 1800s hence the vague era of 19th century? A really interesting item from a Bendigo collection, was it used on the local goldfields?. Estimate: $100-150
