This bottle is the property of / Edwards & Murphy / Ginger / Beer / Rockhampton. Potters Mark: M / Govancroft / 3 / Glasgow. (Queensland). Ginger Beer. Crown Seal. Two tone, green top, off white body. Black print. 10 oz. 204 mm. 1930s
Excellent. (8). 20 x 4 mm mark to left crown is not damage at all, this is simply where the green glaze has not stuck and is a glass miss. Thin lighter line to inner lip edge is also not wear, this is as made where glaze hasn't adhered. Really little spot of wear to front crown is not even through the glaze. To left of this is a slightly larger spot of wear, again, not through the glaze. Upper right body just below the green glaze is a small surface spot of wear. Couple of spots of very light rusty discolouration. Light surface scratches scattered around, these are noticeable on the green neck glaze in places, heaviest to the right and rear. A great, undamaged example of an extremely rare green top Queensland ginger beer. We don't recall seeing one of these auctioned in recent history, all the other green tops from Queensland have been through auction including several Stitt's from Gympie, this in undamaged condition like this is extremely rare and probably the rarest of the green top Queensland ginger beers. Don't miss this opportunity!. Estimate: $10000-15000
