This bottle is the property of / Rae Bros. / Stone / Ginger / Beer / Mackay. Potters stamp: R / (Illegible) / Glasgow / Pottery. (Queensland). Ginger Beer. Crown Seal. Crown Seal. Champagne. Blue Top. 10 oz. 202 mm. 1920s
Repaired. (0). Repaired through the upper neck, at the furthest the repair comes down around 35 mm from the lip at the right rear, otherwise it seem to be mostly through the bottom part of the top about 15 to 20 mm down. The repairer painted the blue section and didn't match it nicely, some of this has been peeled back to reveal the darker blue original glaze. Rest of the bottle is really good, some scratches and a little bit of crazing to be found. A little minor wear to the glaze in places. The potters stamp is difficult to read, but looks like a different one? It looks to say Glasgow Pottery in two lines to the bottom part, which is not something I've seen from Govancroft, so not sure this is a Govancroft made bottle? A rare bottle, with a better paint job this will be a great gap filler.. Estimate: $300-400
