Very Good (7.6). Tiny open bubble to inner lip. Some annealing marks to inner lip from making. A little inner base region dirt, this should soak out. A few surface bubbles. One bubble on the left mid seam has a really minor flake from it. Really small tear drop shaped chip to mid rear, just below this is a little lump of glass, these are almost certainly making marks. Some scuffs and scratches scattered around, a few are lightly pitted. Lovely deep colour and lots of nice bubbles through the glass. An extremely rare bottle, only the second one I have seen. The company was very short lived, as suggested on the 9th October, 1883 in an advert on page 3 of The Argus which described the sale of R. Maginn & Cos newly established aerated water and cordial manufactory at 147 Little Lonsdale Street West, Melbourne. Estimate: $400-500
