Pot for a Pot Plant. Hole made in the base. Horse & Rider jumping a fence inside a horseshoe - can only be described as the Moonee Valley Cordial Co trade mark - six times around the pot. (Victoria) Pottery, Stoneware Very heavy salt glazed pot. Heavy decoration. 160 mm tall Late 1800s - 1900s
Excellent (N/A). Really very crude. There are faults all over but mostly they seem to be from making. Looks early and we have suggested Victoria as its origin as that is where it turned up. Looks a lot like an end of day piece where the potter has some left over pipe or tile material and thrown this together. But why the logo around the sides? And it really does very closely resemble the Moonee Valley Cordial Co trade mark. A very interesting piece. Estimate: $200-300
